Cheryl has been a frequent visitor to Sharon Petersen’s nursery in Hawaii, which is nestled up to the Koolau Mountain Range. She and Sharon have travelled together to many Bromeliad Society International conferences on the US mainland over the years.

Sharon has been hybridising bromeliads for many years. She is responsible for many Neoregelia hybrids which I have a great collection of at my nursery.

On her last visit, Sharon and Cheryl attended the Hawaiian BSI conference where they saw some of the latest Vriesea hybrids pictured below.
